Apparent low bidder was Hensel Phelps Construction <br />Company of Greeley, Colorado, with a bid of $25..983,380. <br />A Bureau of Reclamation spokesman said the contract probably <br />will be awarded in July, and the contractor has 1500 days <br />to complete the project. That would make completion date in <br />the fall of 1975. <br /> <br />Six other bids were submitted, all of which were <br />higher than the engineer's estimate of $20,999,997. The <br />next lowest bidders were the Guy F. Atkinson Co. of San <br />Francisco at $31.7 million and Gordon H. Ball Inc. of <br />Danville, California, at $33.6 million. The high bid was <br />$38.8 million. <br /> <br />Silver Jack Dam of the Bostwick Park Project near <br />Montrose, Colorado, has been completed except for second- <br />stage work in the outlet works and cleanup work in the <br />general area. Storage of water in the reservoir has been <br />started and will continue during the spring runoff. Bids <br />were opened on May 13 for installation of a trash barrier <br />and ~otective fencing in the spillway area. <br /> <br />Advance Planninq <br /> <br />Designs and cost estimates have been completed <br />for the definite plan report of the Savery-Pot Hook Project <br />near Craig, Colorado. The financial analysis and a draft <br />of the report are now being completed and will be forwarded <br />to the Regional Office of the Bureau of Reclamation for <br />review and processing in the near future. <br /> <br />Useof advance planning funds for the Dallas Creek <br />Project near Montrose, Colorado, was interrupted for about <br />three months by the temporary placement of the funds in <br />budgetary reserve, The funds were restored about three <br />
