<br />I <br />I <br />J <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />t <br />I <br />t <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />n f1 -, 'I' 4~ <br />uvl .'j <br /> <br />of plans by planning agencies which do not have funds available for the immediate <br />undertaking of such a plan; (2) to promote efficient and orderly development of <br />rural communities; and (3) to provide information necessary.to avoid overlapping, <br />duplication, overdesign, or underdesign of community water and sewer facilities <br />that may be constructed in the area covered by the plan. <br /> <br />Farmers Home Administration regulations require that consideration be given <br />in the plan to all recommendations and services available from interested local, <br />State, and Federal agencies. They also require the grant recipient to coordinate <br />its plan with overall comprehensive plans or other special purpose plans which <br />have been or are being prepared and with State or regional plans for similar purposes. <br />The actual work of coordination will be done by the planning agency receiving the <br />grant, but Farmers Home Administration personnel will make periodic reviews to <br />see that .it is being satisfactorily accomplished and to provide any assistance <br />needed. <br /> <br />The Farmers Home Administration may not approve a development grant for any <br />portion of the costs of an individual water or waste disposal project unless <br />the proposal is consistent with a comprehensive plan for the development of such <br />projects. <br /> <br />1-5 <br />
