The ,'.solution and applica- <br /> <br />t10n were discussed. Mr. Brei t_er..etein, Mr. Tipton "and <br /> <br />Ju,ige Stone all stated thet they wera oppoaed to both the <br />reaolution end epplio.tion and they each recommended that <br /> <br />the Bo~rd reject both the resolution and the application. <br /> <br />Among tlw objections thereto expressed by those in attend- <br />ance et the meeting were tbe following: <br />1. Tbe water rental ch<rge to be paid by the <br />District to the United State. is not fixed and henoe <br /> <br />ths District is placed in the position of ar,reeing <br /> <br />to pay an uncertAin amount of money to the United <br /> <br />State.. <br /> <br />2. The applioation to be exeouted by the water <br /> <br />users does not state either the water rental chRrge <br />or the quantity of water to which each water user is <br /> <br />entitled. The Board of Directors should not be asked <br /> <br />to negotiate suoh an open-ended contraot with it. <br /> <br />water users. <br /> <br />3.
