STEIN: Go on. <br /> <br />Mr. Dickstein. <br /> <br />MR. DICKSTEIN: I once again generally agree in prin- <br /> <br />ciple with the Resolution and concur with, all the comments made <br /> <br />by my fellow conferee, Mr. O'Connell. <br /> <br />MR. STEIN: Well, it is my understanding, then, that <br /> <br />the States unanimously have agreed on this Resolution. We have <br /> <br />previously stated that the record would remain open for 30 days, <br /> <br />at the request of various people. It is my further understand- <br /> <br /> <br />ing that the Bureau of Reclamation specifically will come up with <br /> <br />a document or material in those 30 days which will include <br /> <br />proposals for specific reductions of salinity in the Colorado <br /> <br />River Basin, in the waters of the Colorado River, and these <br /> <br />will be couched in both tonnage or pounds removed and concentra- <br /> <br />tions or either/or, and it will contain proposed time schedules <br /> <br />and dates. <br /> <br />And I do think that essentially this is what a con- <br /> <br />ference is all about. The step is to get something cleaned up, <br /> <br />and to judge whether we are going to clean it up or not and put <br /> <br />ii, <br />
