<br />f, <br /> <br />1129 <br /> <br />Conclusions and Recommendations <br /> <br />"I <br /> <br />I--< <br />l\.) <br />tv <br />en <br /> <br />Problem in the Colorado River Basin" to the conferees and water <br /> <br />resource agencies of the Colorado River Basin States for review <br /> <br />and comment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all Colorado River Basin States reviewed <br /> <br />and commented on the draft report on the mineral quality <br /> <br />problem in the Colorado River Basin; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency has <br /> <br />revised its draft report and transmitted to the Colorado River <br /> <br />Basin States a final report dated 1971; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said report constitutes a necessary <br /> <br />step toward the solution of the mineral quality problem of <br /> <br />the Colorado River system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the States and Federal agencies have imple- <br /> <br />mented measures to control salinity of the Colorado River; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Bureau of Reclamation 1s authorized to <br /> <br />make, and has feasibility investigations under way, to deter- <br /> <br />mine additional measures to reduce the salinity of the waters <br /> <br />of the Colorado River under present and future conditions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during 1971 the States of the Colorado River <br /> <br />Basin urged committees of Congress to appropriate funds to the <br /> <br />Bureau of Reclamation to accelerate feasibility investigations <br /> <br />of salinity control projects on the Colorado River; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, additional funds were appropriated to the <br /> <br />i <br />
