<br />1 .....\ w.' ,- <br />t.~ \.J oJ',' <br /> <br />The only features that are completed to date are the access roads <br /> <br />to Cunningham and Mormon Tunnels, the Nast Tunnel Access Road, <br /> <br />and the Lily Pad Diversion. <br /> <br />Cunningham Tunnels, Ivanhoe Creek Crossing and Ivanhoe Diversion <br /> <br />Dam are scheduled for construction in 1972. <br /> <br />All other features are sc.heduled for completion in 1977. <br /> <br />5. Interrelationship with Other Projects <br /> <br />All of the transmouutain diversions discussed below are directly <br /> <br />interrelated with the Fryingpan-Arkansa3 Project in that they <br /> <br />divert water from the Colorado River Basin thus contributing to <br /> <br />the depletion of the Colorado River by causing an unknown increase <br /> <br />in the concentration of Colorado River dissolved solids. <br /> <br />Homestake Project, developed by the cities of Colorado Springs <br /> <br />and Aurora, is a transmountain water diversion project. Water <br /> <br />is diverted from the Eagle River Basin for municipal and industrial <br /> <br />uses by these entities. Storage and regulations of the imports <br /> <br />will be provided for in Fryingpan-Arkansas Project facilities. <br /> <br />Water will be routed through the Mt. Elbert Pumped-Storage Power- <br /> <br />plant for generation of power and through the Otero Canol to th'2 <br /> <br />bifurcation works above the Otero Powcrplant.
