w

~

.

.

revenues from the Colorado River Development Fund.

The benefit-cost ratio of this project is 1.83 to 1.

The feasibility report has been circulated for the first review,

and official comments of the local agencies and the State of

Colorado will soon be made to the Bureau of Reclamation. This

project is endorsed by the Upper Colorado River Commission, the

State of Colorado, and individuals, service organizations, and

public bodies in the project area. To the best of my knowledge

there is no opposition to the project.

The Tri-County Water Conservancy District will enter

into repayment contracts for the reimbursable irrigation and muni-

cipal and industrial features of the project. It is anticipated

that the Colorado Department of Game, Fish and Parks will guarantee

the reimbursable recreation and fish and wildlife features. I

therefore urge the Projects Committee of this Congress to designate

the Dallas Creek project in Division II, meritorious, at this time.

LDM: lk

Dallas Creek project

-3-
