Work continued <br />on Ormiston POint and Lone Dome Roads <br />and other small contracts <br /> <br />Water year 1985 marked the second <br />stage of the 1IIIing criterra for McPhee <br />Dam, the major feature of tile Dolores <br />Project The reservorr elevatron was <br />allowed to reach the limit of 6,855 feet in <br />early June. Releases for irrigation use <br />balanced inflow during tile summer <br />months and tile reservoi I held steady at <br />that elevation. Monitoring will continue <br />during the remainder of the filling stages <br />to insure the safe filling of the reservoir <br /> <br />Dallas Creek Project: Work continued <br />on Ridgway Dam, Stage II, 01 the Dallas <br />Creek ProJect. Tho contractor Ilas contin- <br /> <br />ued With toundation excavation, placing <br />of the dam embankment, and construc- <br />tion of concrete structures. The contrac- <br />tor has completed approximately 90 per- <br />cent of the work <br /> <br />Construction totaling $19.6 million was <br />completed. Progress on the Ridgway <br />Darn consisted ot work on Stage II of the <br />dam. By the end ot the tiscal year, about <br />83 percent of this construction project <br />was complefed. <br /> <br />Flaming Gorge Storage Unit: Although <br />work on the air slot installment in the <br />spillway tunnel at Flaming Gorge Dam <br />was accepted as substantially complete <br />in water year 1984, the spillway was still <br />not available for use during water year <br /> <br />1985. Another contract for $437,180 was <br />awarded to remove portions of the <br />1 'I2-foot-thick concrete lining in the <br />spillway tunnel and replace those portions <br />with new concrete. At certain designated <br />places, the existing concrete will be <br />repaired. It is anticipated that the spillway <br />will be available for use dUllng the 1986 <br />spring runoff. <br /> <br />Wayne N. Aspinall Storage Unit: A con- <br />struction contract to modify and repair <br />Blue Mesa Spillway was completed In <br />1985.
