Samples by the Bijou, which the Bijou officials dcny, it would havc to have becn by a Bijou warrant, which could only be ascertained by a complete audit of the Bijou ~ooks. The books of the Bijou Irrigation Company show reccipt of a $25,000 down payment from Longmont on July 11, 1964 and thebal- ancc of $75,000 on January 9, 1965. They show receipt of the entire $100,000 from Boulder on July 22, 1964. The books also show periodic entrics of interest on the $200,000 since that time, It therefore appears the the Bijou Company received, and still holds tho full $200,000. If it paid any commission to John L. Samples it would have to have been paid by a warrant drawn on the Bijou Company. Wc were unable to examine the BijoU Company books thoroughlY enough to ascertain that no such warrant had becn issued, John W. "Bill" Samples, the bookkeeper, statcd to us without reservation that no stich commission had ever been paid. It would bc impossible to determine this question finally without a complete audit.
