.

-12-
Samples to certain wrongful acts. Roberts says that this was
absolutely untrue and that he had no information whatsoever.
(Interview, David Roberts, 4/6/67.)
g. Richard Bradley's ve~sion
On APril 6, 1967, we telephoned Mr. Richard Bradley at his
office in Fort Morgan. Bradley has for several years been a ~ember
of the board of directors of the Fort Morgan Country Club and we
had heard rumors that he knew something about Samples' dealing
with the Fort Morgan golf course water well. In response to our
request to interview him, Bradley stated that he would be glad to
tell us anything he knew over the telephone but that he knew very
little about the matter.
He stated that the Fort Morgan Country Club had never at any
time had any dealings with John L. Samples. He suggested that
Dave Roberts, the Fort Morgan city attorney, could tell us all
about the dealings between the city and Samples. All of the deal-
ings concerning the golf course well were between the city and
Samples. The Country Club no longer runs the golf course since
it was sold to the city several years ago. The Country Club does
buy a few gallons of water from the city's well for inside dom~
estic use in its club house. According to Bradley, if any
Country Club man dealt directly with John L. Samples, Howard
Bloedorn, the senior vice president of the Farmers State Bank of
Fort Morgan, would be the man to contact. According to Bradley,
he has no knowledge whatsoever of any dealings between any members
of the Fort Morgan Country Cluj) board of directors and John L.
Samples. He has no knowledge of Samples ever having solicited
any money from the directors ot the Country Club, although he did

.

~

WOODWARD.CLYDE.SHERARD AND ASSOCIATES
