The right of way of the pipeline would be largely located on private
land. Objections to diverting flow from the South Fork could be expected
from private fishing interests below tie point of diversion and environmental
?

groups.

2. Yellow Jacket Project
The project is located on the North Fork of the White River and the Yellow
Jacket Water Conservancy District is the claimant of the water rights of the
proposed project which has an appropriation date of II December 1957. The
project has been studied by the Bureau of Reclamation from time to time and
the last available data is contained in a report dated November 1976. The supply would come from natural stream flows to the extent they
exceed that necessary to ensure minimum stream flows at the Colorado-Utah
border. Storage releases would be made from the Sawmill Mountain Reservoir
to Big Beaver Creek to provide the oil shale supply when natural flows are

-6-

,J
