The Council currently consists of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />members and its current membership is shown on Attachment A. <br /> <br /> <br />During the 1978 fiscal year, Daniel F. Lawrence, Utah, served <br /> <br /> <br />as Council Chairman and Wesley Steiner, Arizona; as Vice <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman. Most of the members of the Advisory Council are <br /> <br /> <br />also members of the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control <br /> <br />,-, <br /> <br />Forum. The Council and Forum have different, but related, <br /> <br />functions. <br /> <br />The legislative authority, functions, and duties of <br /> <br /> <br />the Advisory Council, its relationship to the Salinity <br /> <br /> <br />Control Forum and the Colorado River Basin salinity control <br /> <br />program were covered in the Council's first annual report, <br /> <br />dated July 22, 1976. <br /> <br />The Advisory Council met on December 19, 197$, in <br />Phoenix, Arizona, the only meeting since the last report <br />was submitted. The permanent Work Group of the Colorado <br />River Basin Salinity Control Forum continues to serve the <br />Coun~il in the capacity of a technical review and study <br />team. Myron B.
