The consumptive use rate of this type of system is estimated at

approximately 10 percent. The remaining 90 percent of water diverted for

inside uses will return to the stream system via subsurface flow.

Total estimated consumptive use associated with all inside uses at the
proposed resort is 1.75 acre-feet per year.

Equi.-ent Kaint_ce ConsUllptive Use

Water required for washing golf carts and groundskeeping equipment will be

returned through storm drains that bypass the septic systems. Consumptive

uses associated with this use will be lower than that associated with

inside uses, and is estimated at about 5 percent. or a total of 0.08 acre-

feet per year as shown in Table 2.

Irrigation eonsUllptive Use

Part of the water applied to irrigate golf course greens. fairways and

other landscaping is lost to evaporation during the application process.

and to evapotranspiration from tbe plants and soil surface fo 110wing

application. An estimated 80 percent of water applied to irrigate turf

grass and landscaping will be 10st,to the stream system. The remaining 20

percent will return to the stream via surface runoff or subsurface return

flow.

Irrigation consumptive use (both plant requirements and spray loss)
associated with 87.5 acres of irrigated area is estimated to be about 131
acre-feet per year. as shown in Table 2.

Pond Ilvaporati_

Pond and swilllllling pool evaporation is a 100 percent consumptive use of

water. The maximum evaporation requirement of 12.5 acre-feet per year. as

shown in Table 1. i. carried over as a consumptive requirement in Table 2.
