<br />L6e <br /> <br />ACTIVITY FOUR - Selection of State-Regional Priorities, Conclusion~, <br /> <br />and Recorrunendations, and Preparation of the State- <br /> <br />Regional Report. <br />(September 1976 - December 1976) <br /> <br />The objectives of this Activity are to establish the State-regional priorities <br />for Level B Study Areas, too develop the recommendations and conclusions of <br />the type itemized below and to incorporate this into the Specific Problem <br />Analysis Report. The priorities will be based upon the objectives and <br />desires identified in Activity Two and will be classified as either <br />immediate (1975-1985) or futu~e (1985-2000). An annotated outline of <br />the Specific Problem Analysis Report is contained in Appendix D. <br /> <br />In selecting participants for this Activity the Regional Sponsor should <br />follow the general guidance provided in AppendLx B and the following <br />specific criteria. <br /> <br />1. First, considerable staff or work group effort is .required <br />to synthesize the results of Activities Two and Three <br />into a form and presentation format necessary to provide <br />the basis for:(l) establishing priorities for potential Level B <br />S.tudy Areas, (2) developing detailed conclusions and <br />recorrunendations. ( The work group is part of Group A) <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />2. Second, from a practical viewpoint the Council suggests that the <br />a policy group of the Regional Sponsor be selected to actually <br />review the results of the staff or work group and thereby pro- <br />pose a set of priorities and conclusions and recommendations <br />for the consideration by the total Sponsoring organization <br />(the Commission rriembers, interagency committee, etc.) . <br />This policy group would also review the entire Specific <br />Problem Analysis Report prepared by the staff or work group, <br />oversee its regionwide review and finally submit a final <br />draft copy to the full sponsoring organization for approval <br />and transmittal to WRC. <br /> <br />As shown in Figure 2 and as described below, the Council suggests that <br />fiv"e sub-activities (15,16,17,18 and 19) be conducted by the Regional <br />Sponsor to accomplish the objectives of this Activity. <br /> <br />e <br />
