<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Colorado Water Con-
<br />servancy District was beld at the office of the District, 905 Higbway 50 West, Pueblo,
<br />Colorado, on Thursday, December 21, 1967, at 10:00 a. m.

<br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
<br />
<br />President Nicnols declared a quorum present~ and opened the meeting by asking if
<br />there were any corrections or alterations to the minutes of the November 16. 1967
<br />meeting as distributed. Hearing none. he declared them approved.
<br />
<br />TREASURER'S REPORT:
<br />
<br />Treasurer James Sboun read the financial statement for the period November 16, 1967-
<br />December 21, 1967 in detail, and moved that the bills be paid. Motion seconded by
<br />Everett and unanimously carried. TI"'easurer Shoun reported that the Finance Com-
<br />mittee had diSCUSsed the $1,444.79 in the Building Fund at First National Bank, and
<br />the Committee recommends that this money be transferred to the General Operating
<br />Fund. Treasurer ShOUD moved that the Committee recommendation be approved,
<br />seconded by Christy and unanimously carried.

<br />VALLEY PIPELINE REPORT:
<br />
<br />President Nichols introduced Mr. D. R. Sayles and R.R. Yarabeck of the Firm of
<br />Black and Veatch which has the Contract with the District to develop engineering data
<br />to be used by the Conservancy District and the Bureau of Reclamation in the planning
<br />for and construction of the Valley Pipeline. President Nichols stated he had asked
<br />these gentlemen to report to the full Board rather than just the Engineering Committee.
<br />because he knew the material would be of interest to all members of the Board.' Mr.
<br />Sayles reported that he and Mr. Yarabeck had met personally with representatiVes
<br />from the cities and towns in the Arkansas Valley which stand to benefit from the use of
<br />.'
