The allocation <br /> <br />to the two states was based on 13,312 acre-feet, the amount of <br /> <br />water in storage on July 8, 1973. <br /> <br />During the season 7,718 acre-feet of storage water arrived 1 <br /> <br />at the Canyon Mouth. Of this amount 4,666 acre-feet were released <br /> <br />for New Mexico and 3,052 acre-feet for Colorado. <br /> <br />Delivery of storage water to the two states corrected for <br /> <br />canal and operational loss indicated an under-delivery to New <br /> <br />Mexico of 34 acre-feet and an over-delivery to Colorado of 34 <br /> <br />acre-feet. <br /> <br />Delivery to Eastdale Reservoir No. 1 <br /> <br />The total recorded delivery of water to Eastdale Reservoir <br /> <br />No.1 during calendar year 1973 was 6,180 acre-feet. The delivery <br /> <br />was as follows: 2,420 acre-feet prior to the irrigation season, <br /> <br />3,740 acre-feet during the irrigation season and 20 acre-feet after <br /> <br />the irrigation season. <br /> <br />OTHER <br /> <br />During the 1973 season 889 acre-feet of New Mexico's storage <br /> <br />water from Costilla Reservoir were diverted for use in the Amalia <br /> <br />area. <br /> <br />Stemming from the recent energy crisis, federal agencies, <br /> <br />including the U. S. Geological Survey have been directed to reduce <br /> <br />automobile travel.. The Commission has operated the Eastdale No. 1 <br /> <br />- 2 - <br /> <br />, - <br />
