Hamill <br />stressed the importance of the Yampa River in the effort to recover <br />the endangered fishes. He also commended the Alternatives Study as <br />a means to work cooperatively to meet the goals of the Recover <br />program, which include the simultaneous improvement of the <br /> <br />endangered fish populations and the development of water for <br /> <br />consumptive use. <br /> <br />The River District Board will consider the best utilization of its <br /> <br />valuable Yampa River water rights in near future.
