The
development of recreational lands and facilities in conjunction with
the integrated Narrows-Jackson Lake plan would provide $340,000 of
annual benefits initially. With the beginning of project operations
benefits are projected to increase at the rate of $18,200 a year,
in an ascending scale, for a 50-year period at the end of which the
additional annual benefits would total $910,000. That amount ($910,000)
is projected as a constant for the latter half of the 100-year period
of analysis. Additional recreational facilities after the tenth year
would be necessary to accommodate the increasing recreational use.
These recreation benefits are converted to annual equivalent values
for the period of analysis of 100 years and interest at the rate of
3-1/8 percent as shown in table 22.

Total benefits

In summary, the total annual benefits for the plan of develop-
ment are as follows:

Table 21.--Total annual unit benefits

Benefit

Direct

Total

Irrigation
Water supply
OM&R savings
Total irrigation
Flood control
Fish-wildlife enhancement
Recreation
Total unit benefits

$1, 394.,OOQ
16,000
1,410,000
961,000
292,700
790,000*
$3,453,700

$1, 615, 5QQ
16,000
1,631,500
961,000
292,700
790,000*
~3,675,200

*

Benefits adjusted for rate of occurrence.

84.
