001u/3

.

.

Feasibility investigations are continuing on the UPPER GUNNISON

PROJECT, consisting of land classification, drainage studies, water sup-

ply studies, and plan formulation studies. A proposed feasibility report

is scheduled for completion in FY 1969.

I
,

Plan formulation studies, geologic investigations, water supply

studies, and preparation of project lands and drainage appendixes are

in progress on the GRAND MESA PROJECT. A contract has been awarded for

aerial topographic maps of the project area and work has been initiated

by the contractor. Coo:perative studies with other Federal agencies are

continuing. A proposed feasibility report is scheduled for completion

in FY 1968.

Preparation of design data, engineering surveys, geologic investi-

gat ions, and preparation of the drainage appendix are in progress on the

YELLOW JACKET PROJECT. Cooperative studies with other Federal agencies

are continuing. A proposed feasibility report is scheduled for comple-

tion in FY 1967.

Advance Planning

On the FRUITLAND MESA PROJECT aerial topographic mapping of the

project area by private contract is essentially complete.

Funds ($2,400) contributed by the local conservancy districts and

the State of Colorado were used in obtaining aerial photography of the

SAVERY-POT HOOK PROJECT area to be used later for five-foot-contour

aerial mapping of the project area. Advance planning studies are being

undertaken in FY 1966.

8
