Following a hearing before
the California Water Commission which was occasioned by the flood
plain zoning requirement upon which construction of the Chico Landing
to Red Bluff bank protection project was conditioned, an interim
committee was set up by the Legislature to formulate flood plain
zoning criteria which would be applicable throughout the State.
