The work order will detail scope of work and funding level for approximately two work months of effort by EIS Services to help the AQUATRAIN Project prepare material required before work can begin on the Project EIS. Division of EIS Services and Project staff will conduct a briefing on January 13 for Project staff to explain the level of effort required to collect data and prepare material in preparation for initiation of the Project EIS. Use PROPlAN to schedule activities required before work can begin on the Project EIS. Oetail engineering work that must be completed on the saline water portion of AQUATRAIN before the Project description can be written. Schedule this work using PROPlAN. 6,3 ANTICIPATED FEBRUARY EVENTS Sign Reclamation/Forest Service Memorandum of Understanding. Begin work on Project description for the EIS. Complete and submit the Corridor Study Report to Reclamation. Prepare a Work Order to Reclamation/BLM Interagency Agreement that defines the scope of work and funding level needed for preparation of the Project EIS by Division of EIS Services. Complete Preliminary Report. 7.0 SUBTEAM: PLANNING COOROINATION/REPORTS/PUBlIC INVOLVEMENT (Stefanec) 7.1 OECEMBER EVENTS Briefed Wyoming Association of County Commissioners in Worland, Wyoming. Commissioners of counties which may be affected by the AQUATRAIN Project voiced strong support, Follow-up continued by phone and travel with county and municipal contacts in affected states. An article for Pipeline Magazine of Houston was completed. Speech completed for presentation before Interpipe '84 Conference, February 28 - March 1. Briefed Henderson, Nevada Mayor, City Council, and staff on recent AQUATRAIN developments. The response was positive and supportive of the open process and continuing dialogue with the City of Henderson. 4
