area.

Positions on Adjustments

Our procedure in regard to Inaking adjustments to the draft report

that you have received is as follows:

(1) As already noted, we are looking for proposals which will

lead to improvements in these preliminary projections. By im-

provements we mean changes that will bring the proje<:tions nearer to

what actually happens in your area in terms of the baseline concept.

In other words, the projections should be the best estimates of the

economic future of each area prior to the introduction of new develop-

mental programs.

(2) Already, through the review given this report, we have received

several worthwhile proposals. In-house review has revealed other

needed changes. We expect additional proposals to come from these

meetings. All of these proposals will be given serious consideration.

We will expect those proposing changes to give documentation supporting

their proposal.
