No.5) <br /> <br />Man-day <br />Man-day <br />Use-day <br />Man-day <br /> <br />Total <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />11 Including the production of 3,000 additional waterfowl. <br /> <br />Project Economics <br /> <br />It Is our understanding that In accordance with the provisions of the <br />Federal Water Project Recreation Act, P.L. 89-72, the costs of fish <br />and wildlife mitigation measures are to be treated as joint costs, <br />and that the costs of fish and wildlife leading to other benefits, <br />e~cept those related to waterfowl use lIke nesting, restIng, and wInter- <br />ing, are to be cost shared equally by the Federal Government and the <br />non-Federal body assuming administration of the reservoir area, In <br />this case the Colorado Oepartment of Game, Fish and Parks. With respect <br />to costs related to waterfowl use, being of national sIgnificance, <br />It Is our Bureau"s belief that they should be nonreimbursable. <br /> <br />Because some of the fish and wildlife measures recommended herein serve <br />the dual purposes of mitigation and enhancement and, further, since <br />some of the enhancement measures are to be cost shared while others <br />are not, It appears appropriate to Identify and divide the costs <br />accordingly. <br /> <br />. <br />
