Given recent changes in this unit
(i.e., relocated vegetation test site and expanded experimental area) another
FWCA report has been completed and submitted to the BR.

Palo Verde
Proposed FWS involvement has been delayed.

Aquatrain

As negotiated with BR and Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the FWS was to
conduct 12 staff months of work on fish and wildlife issues related to
Aquatrain in FY 1984. This work would have been shared between Region 6 and
Region 1. The FWS were to: (1) write three technical reports on impacts to
terrestrial wildlife, aquatic species, and threatened or endangered species;
(2) write both the site specific and programmatic portions of the Environmental
Impact Statement that relates to fish and wildlife; and (3) use computer
mapping technology as much as possible in ColoradO and Utah.

Because of a major change in ownership of Aquatrain, Inc. in FY 1984, the
project has been delayed. The FWS involvement for FY 1984 has been cancelled.
There may be renewed activity in FY 1985.

Coache 11 a Canal

FWS activity during FY 1984 for this Title I Unit included reviewing reports
and consultation and coordination with on-going efforts to implement mitigation
features. FWS activity for FY 1985 will be of a similar nature involving the
review of reports addressing the effectiveness and use of completed features,
attending meetings to select alternatives or modify existing features, provide
consultation on environmental compliance documents associated with new or
modified features, and preparation of management plans, designs, etc., for the
accomplishment of authorized features.

, '~;

-

....
