However. there were 4 Findings of No <br />Significant Impact, 6 Environmental Assess- <br />ments, and 80 Categorical Exclusions. <br /> <br />A 3-volume final report of the Colorado River <br />Fishery Project was jointly published by the <br />Bureau of Reclamation and Fish and Wildlife <br />Service (FWS) in April 1982. In the final report, <br />FWS made some specific recommendations <br />on the endangered fishes of the Colorado <br />River System that needed further verification. <br />This 3'year effort was conducted at a cost at <br />$1.8 million. <br /> <br />Reclamation, in cooperation with FWS, initiated <br />a 3'year monitoring effort of the endangered <br />fishes that will address questions relating to <br />the operation of Flaming Gorge Dam and the <br />importance of Lake Powell to the endangered <br />fish. This monitoring effort will cost approxi- <br />mately $550,000 with $85,000 expended in <br />1982. A final report will be prepared in fiscal <br />year 1985. <br /> <br />The 5.year study on the trout tishery in the <br />tailwaters of Flaming Gorge Dam, which was <br />initiated to evaluate the selection withdrawal <br />modification. was completed in 1982. The final <br />report on this study is due in March 1983. <br /> <br />8 <br />
