"The 500 cfs releases will continue on
through the weekend and run for the next 5 to 7 days," said Jack Gamer, Reclamation's Area
Manager.

The 24-hour watch on the 1O.inch diameter hole from which the spring-like flow is coming will
also continue. "We are continuing our monitoring so that we can observe any changes in the
situation and take appropriate action," Gamer added. Additionally, Reclamation is installing
instrumentation to help continue its evaluation and collect data.

The spring-like seepage is bubbling up in an area immediately downstream from the dam on the
right side, by the Rocky Fort Creek Bypass. While seepage is not uncommon, the current
situation at Ruedi Dam requires close monitoring because the seep is carrying small amounts of
sediment with the water.

Information regarding the continued evaluation at Ruedi will be provided in the form of a press
release every afternoon to local and county entities. lfyou have questions, please contact Kara
Lamb, public information coordinator, between the hours ofB a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at (970) 667-
4410.

TOTAL P.02
