tain, thence easterly 7.000 feet to a point beneath Fall Creek
Valley, A riser shaft and diversion facilities would be provided
similar to those at Cross Creek.

d, Section 4. a tunnel extending from the point on Section 3
beneath Notch Mountain at which point the tunnel angles in a
northwesterly direction, 9,000 feet to a point beneath East Cross
Creek Valley. A riser shaft and diversion facilities would be
provided similar to those at Cross Creek.

e. Section 5, a 66 inch gravity pipeline extending 3,000 feet
from the tunnel portal' at Fancy Creek to a point near the north
portal of Missouri Tunnel to provide capacity to convey the total
Cross Creek Tunnel flow to Missouri Tunnel. The Cross Creek
flow would initially be conveyed from Fancy Creek portal to the
Missouri Tunnel by the existing Fancy-French gravity conduit,
but as additional streams are diverted, the conduit capacity
would be exceeded and the additional 66 inch parallel conduit
would be required.

f, A pipeline and other facilities to collect Eagle-Arkansas Divi-
sion water as described under l-f.

3. Plan C - Tunnels and Pipeline

Plan C includes:
a, A tunnel extending 26,000 feet northwesterly from the vicin-
ity of Fancy Creek Diversion Dam. passing beneath Cross Creek
and terminating beneath West Cross Creek Valley at elevation
10,400, Riser shafts and diversion facilities would be provided at
Cross and West Cross Creeks.

b. A 72 and 78 inch pipeline connecting to the Fancy-French
conduit at the French Creek diversion and traversing the western
slope of Homestake Valley in a northeasterly direction 22,000
feet, terminating at elevation 10,400, Diversion facilities would
be provided at Whitney Creek and at other unnamed streams
crossed by the pipeline.

14

c. A tunnel commencing at the end of the pipeline in 3-b
extending northwesterly 23.000 feet, passing beneath Fall Creek
and terminating beneath East Cross Creek Valley at elevation
10,450. Riser shafts and diversion facilities would be constructed
at Fall Creek and East Cross Creek. 0
,&:l.
,&:l.
d. A 72 inch pipeline commencing near the inlet of the Mis.,.~
souri Tunnel and paralleling the existing Fancy-French gravity
conduit 3,000 feet in a northerly direction to the portal of the
tunnel under 3'a. I nitial flows under this diversion would be
routed into the Fancy-French conduit. Ultimate development
would overload the Fancy-French conduit and the additional 72
inch parallel conduit would be required,

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

e. A pipeline and other facilities to collect Eagle-Arkansas
Division water as described under 1.f.

4. Plan 0 - Tunnel, Pumping, and Pipeline

Plan D includes:
a. A tunnel from Homestake Valley, beginning near the center
of Section 30, Township 6 South, Range 80 West. extending
northwesterly 24,000 feet, passing beneath Fall Creek and Peter-
son Creek and terminating below Cross Creek Valley at elevation
9,200. Riser shafts and diversion facilities would be provided at
Fall, Cross, and Peterson Creeks. The diversion point on Cross
Creek wou Id be downstream of the mouths of West and East
Cross Creeks and would permit all diversion from Cross Creek to
be made at one location.

b. A 78 inch gravity pipeline from the Homestake Valley portal
of the tunnel in 4-a extending south and southwesterly 30,000
feet up Homestake Valley to elevation 9,050 to supply the
pumping station under 4-d.

c. An electric transmission line connecting to the eXisting 115
thousand volt (kV) transmission line which parallels U, S, High-
way 24 and extending 3.8 miles southwesterly up Homestak"e
