IV', ~; ., ~ .,
U:.J\.', d..

Water Riqhts

The Guthrie-T.omas Ditch diverts flow from the upper portion of
Elliott Creek, which joins the Blue River immediately below Green
Mountain Reserv4i>ir, ~v$r the ridge and into~atershed$ directly
tributary to\~ res€tvoir. The water rights decreed to the
Guthrie-Thomas are as follows:

Basin If'_~ Amount
809 4.0
888 5.0
1259 2.50
1297 2.50
1685 10.00
3294 14.00
3514 3.38
41. 38 cfs

.'

The rights which are senior to Basin Rank 1685 were transferred
into the Ditch.

~;
,~

In water year 1984 the Ditch ran from June 15 to August 27 an
period of 74 dars and diverted 3,559 A.F. for an average diversion
rate of 24.25 cfs.

The Elliott cfeek feeder ~anal also diverts from Elliott Creek
downstream of Martin Creek. Iris decreed for 90 cfs with a basin
rank of 3318. These two diversions and the Heagland Canal System
will virtually dry Elliott Creek in most years. Thus, no inflow
should be credited to the Blue River from Elliott Creek.

The Noonan Ditch diverts water from Elliott Creek and traverses
Martin, Deep, Spring, Spruce and part of Beaver Creek as well. The
.~)NoOn4ll on the t~bulation is decreed for only 4.02 cfs. Thus, further
investigation is needed.

4313E/3

::j,

~3

<;'

.

,il

.
~i:~
;.. .........:. ...,. i """'~"', .lt~,~
