The compact <br /> <br />commissioners have signed a compact which has not as yet been <br /> <br />approvedby the respective legislature ann the Congress. <br /> <br />In Las Vegas Valley where the main wilter sun:,l'! i~ from the <br /> <br />ground-water has in a great deal is heing accomplished in conserving <br />water by reuse of ~ewage effb\ent for golf courses and irrigation <br /> <br />purposes. <br /> <br />Several years ago the State enteren in a cooperative agreement <br /> <br />with u.S. Geological Survey to conduct reconnaissance ground- <br /> <br />water studies in the many valleys within the Stiltn. At the present <br />ueen <br />time there haveiPublished 33 reports in the Reconndissance Series <br /> <br />covering over 50 valleys. In addition there have been 27 ground <br /> <br />water reports in the Bulletin series and a number of other reports <br /> <br />Dublished as Water Supply Papers.
