The Ramah dam on the Big Sandy Creck project is a <br />multipurpose structure. It has 5,000 acre feet of capacity for flood <br /> <br />prevention and 500 acre feet for fish and wildlife. The Federal cost in <br /> <br />constructing flood prevention works of improvement on these projects is <br /> <br />approximately $5,000,000 and the sponsoring organizations together with <br /> <br />farmers and ranchers have contributed ill excess of an eouivalent amount <br /> <br />tO~IaI'd cos ts incurred in carryi ng out the projects. <br /> <br />5. lvork plan development is about 70 percent comp 1 e te on the West Paradox <br />watershed consisting of 38,000 acres in Montrose County, Colorado and <br />22,000 acres in San Juan County, Utah. This project involves land <br />treatment on watershed land and 'increasing the capacity of the Buckeye <br />Reservoir in the amount of 2,000 acre feet for irrigation and 400 acre <br /> <br />feet for fish and wildlife. <br /> <br />6.
