I'
I'

l

J

/

;,u:;';ORA,'WUH
,'"
~

83-2

-4-

January 14, 1983

.~)
o

Department of the Interior programs applicable to not only subsections (a)
and (b) of Section 202, which relate to the Interior programs, but also to
subsection (c) which describes the Department of Agriculture programs.
The paragraph where the changes are inserted into the legislation relates
to the ceiling which waS imposed on the Department of the Interior programs
when the legislation was introduced. I am not clear as to why the
Department of Agriculture wants these changes and hence I have written to
both the Department of Agriculture and the Department of the Interior
requesting clarification. This may not be an issue that the Forum needs
to address.

The need for funds and authority for planning and design of a pipeline
down GlenwoodCanyon is not addressed by the legislation. I will be working
with the Bureau of.Reclamation to further analyze their need and our current
options.
