AERIAL INSPECTION REPORT <br /> Subject: McQueary Dam <br /> W. Div. 5 W. Dist. 72 <br /> Date: June 21, 1979 <br /> This is an aerial inspection report for McQueary Dams. There are three <br /> reservoirs that are full of water and one was completely empty. The dam <br /> is located about 15 miles East of Grand junction. The stream channel heads <br /> in a generally northern direction. The largest dam is about 15 feet high and <br /> impounds about 5 acre-feet of water. The dams are located on Tate Creek. <br /> Reach 1 - - The channel below is heavy vegetative growth, slightly mean- <br /> dering, with a rough channel. <br /> Reach #2 - - Reach No. 2 begins at a point about three miles North of the <br /> dam and heads in a generally North-northeasterly direction. The vegetative <br /> growth is heavy, the bottom is rough with a slight meander. The inspection <br /> report ends at this point. No hazards have been seen based on the size of <br /> the dam, loss of life is not envisioned.
