WYOMING <br />325 U.S. 589 (1945) <br />Important Provisions: <br />Colorado is prohibited from diverting water from the North Platte River and its <br />tributaries for irrigation of more than 135,000 acres in Jackson County during one <br />irrigation season. (This value was changed to 145,000 acres by the Court on June 14, <br />1953). <br />2. Colorado is prohibited from storing more than 17,000 acre-feet of water for irrigation <br />purposes from the North Platte River and its tributaries in Jackson County between <br />October 1 of any year and September 30th of the following year. <br />3. Colorado is prohibited from exporting out of the basin of the North Platte River and <br />its tributaries in Jackson County more than 60,000 acre-feet in any consecutive 10 - <br />year period. <br />4. Colorado and Wyoming are required to maintain accurate records of irrigated <br />acreage, volumes of water stored, and volumes of water exported for inspection at all <br />times. <br />5. This decree does not affect or restrict the use or diversion of water from the North <br />Platte River and its tributaries for ordinary and usual domestic, municipal, and stock <br />watering purposes. <br />
