Introduction
Welcome to the State Engineer's data publication which provides our customers with yearly data of surface water use and
ground water well permitting activity. We hope you find this publication useful.
Providing data in this format is a first for the Division of Water Resources. Historically, this data was provided in the Division
Engineer's Annual Reports and had to be extracted from differing formats. This required a bit of work on the part of the person
seeking this information. More recently, this information has been included in the State Engineer's Annual Reports since 1992.
This publication takes yearly stream delivery data, as collected by our division offices and presents it in two different formats.
Yearly tabular data is provided for the water years 1992 through 1996. Selections of this data are also provided to you graphical
format, providing a viewer friendly way to look at recent trends in water deliveries. The same presentation is make for ground water
well permitting activities of the division from July 1, 1991 through June 1, 1996. Subsequent publications will include the updates for
the most recent completed years.
We hope that this coalesced version of the data is in a more user friendly format that is of use to you in your water resource
information endeavors.
2
