<br /> <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> PLATTE RIVER BASIN <br /> <br /> 06694920 SOUTH PLATTE RIVER ABOVE SPINNEY MOUNTAIN RESERVOIR, CO <br /> <br />LOCATION.--Lat 38°59'10", long 105°40'52". <br /> <br />DRAINAGE AREA.--N/A <br /> <br />GAGE.--Graphic water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry in a wooden shelter at a 25' Parshall flume. Station and <br />satellite telemetry are owned and maintained by the City of Aurora. <br /> <br />REMARKS.--Primary record is from satellite data base. Chart record was used for the following days: May 11; Jun. 11, <br />18; Jul. 10-14, 17-18, 28, 30-31; Aug. 2-3, 18-20, 27; Sep. 30. Discharge was estimated for the winter period--Nov. 3, <br />1991 to Apr. 20, 1992--when the flume was frozen. Discharges for the winter period were based on City of Aurora <br />estimates of flow into Spinney Res. These figures were based on reservoir readings taken to the nearest 0.1 ft, and show <br />step-wise rather than continuous changes. The record is good for open water conditions. Winter period estimates are <br />fair on a long term average, and poor on a daily basis. Record is developed by Robert E.
