06729500 SOUTH BOULDER CREEK NEAR ELDORADO SPRINGS, CO

LOCATION.--Lat 39°55'52", long 105°17'43", in SE¼ sec.26, T.l S., R.71 W., Boulder County, Hydrologic Unit 10190005, on
left bank 0.2 mi downstream from South Draw, 1.0 mi west of Eldorado Springs, 1.8 mi downstream from South
Boulder diversion canal, 5.0 mi south of Boulder, and 6.7 mi downstream from Gross Reservoir.

DRAINAGE AREA.--109 mi2.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 6,080 ft, from topographic map. See WSP 1710
or 1730 for history of changes prior to May 10, 1940.

REMARKS.--Record is complete and reliable except for the following periods: No record Dec. 2, 1991, when float was
frozen in ice; Dec. 3, 1991-Mar. 13, 1992 when station was closed. Record was affected by ice in the well and on
the control Oct. 28-29; Nov. 1-3, 23-24, 29-30; Dec. 1, 1991. Graphic chart record was used on Oct. 3-7, 9; Nov.
1-3, 1991; Apr. 2-3; Jul. 7-15, 21; Sep. 18-20, 1992. Water is imported upstream from Gross Reservoir from
Colorado River basin through Moffat Tunnel. Flow regulated since May 1, 1955, by Gross Reservoir, capacity,
43,060 acre-ft, 6.7 mi upstream from station. City of Denver diverts water 1.8 mi upstream from station. Record
is good, except for periods of no gage-height record and ice affect, which is fair. Station maintained and
records developed by Fred Renner.
