ROBERTS TUNNEL NEAR GRANT, CO <br /> <br />LOCATION.--Lat 39°27'50", long 105°41'01"; Harold D. Roberts tunnel diverts water from Dillon Reservoir in Blue River <br />basin, to North Fork South Platte River (tributary to South Platte River) in SW¼SW¼ sec. 4, T. 7 S., R. 74W., in <br />Platte River basin. <br /> <br />GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry in a concrete shelter at a 20-ft Parshall flume. Elevation of gage <br />is 8695 ft by topographic map. Station is owned and maintained by the Denver Water Dept, who also generate power <br />from the tunnel flow. <br /> <br />REMARKS.--Record from hourly satellite data is complete and reliably agrees with chart data. Where gaps exist in the <br />chart recording, the satellite data was found to check closely with Denver Water Dept. readings of flow. Record <br />is good.
