PEACEFUL VALLEY, CO <br /> <br />LOCATION.--Lat 40 07’ 55”, long 105 31’ 00”, NE1/4 NW1/4 Sec. 24, T.2 N., R.73 W. <br /> <br />PERIOD OF RECORD AND DRAINAGE AREA.--Gage established on May 14, 1998 by State of Colorado, Division of <br />Water Resources personnel. This gage will be a partial year record station. <br /> <br />GAGE.--Graphic water-stage recorder and satellite monitoring DCP with shaft encoder in 48” diameter metal <br />pipe shelter and well. DCP is the primary record with chart as a backup. <br /> <br />REMARKS.--The primary record is hourly data taken from satellite monitoring with chart back up. The record <br />is complete and reliable except for: October 14-15, 25-26, 30-31; November 1-2, 4, 2003 when the <br />stage was ice affected and flows were estimated flows; November 5 and May 17—Station was closed for <br />the season. The record is good, except as follows: estimated flows due to ice effect, which are <br />poor; flows above 104 cfs are fair due to lack of rating definition; flows above 150 cfs are poor <br />due to lack of rating measurements. The peak of 267 cfs is considered an estimate since it more <br />that twice as high as the highest rating measurement. This is a seasonal station and is closed <br />during the winter.
