14
PLATTE RIVER BASIN

06720000 CLEAR CREEK AT DERBY, CO

LOCATION.--Lat 39°49'42", long 104°57'30", in SW¼SW¼ sec. 36, T.2 S., R.68 W., Adams County, Hydrologic
Unit 10190004, on right bank 875 ft downstream from York Street bridge, 0.5 mi upstream from mouth,
and 2.5 mi west of Derby.

DRAINAGE AREA AND PERIOD OF RECORD.--575 mi²; 1927 to present.

GAGE.--Graphic water-stage recorder with satellite monitoring DCP with digital shaft encoder and Telemark
in a 60 inch corrugated metal shelter and well. Station at this datum since June 26, 1992. Primary
reference is by electric drop tape.

REMARKS.--The primary record is hourly satellite data and mean daily gage heights from the chart. Daily
maximum and minimum stages for the satellite record checked to within ± 0.02 with the chart. Where
DCP data was missing, data was entered hourly from the chart. The clock stopped a several times
during the season, but the satellite data was complete so no data was lost during these times. Ice
is presumed to have been present January 5-9 and February 5-8, 2004. This period is considered
estimated due to an indeterminate amount of ice. January 20-21, & 26, 2004 are considered fair due
to an indeterminate amount of ice. However, the DCP data was not changed on these days. The record
is good, except for the following days estimated for ice-affect: January 5-9, 2004 and February 5-8,
2004 are considered poor; and January 20-21, & 26, 2004 are considered fair. Station maintained and
record developed by Steven Barrett.

RATING TABLE.--CLEDERCO34 USED FROM 01-OCT-2003 TO 30-SEP-2004

DISCHARGE, IN CFS, WATER YEAR OCTOBER 2003 TO SEPTEMBER 2004
MEAN VALUES

DAY OCT NOV DEC JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP

1 9.5 16 23 16 14 14 7 45 4.5 358 4.3 16
2 8.5 17 19 16 15 12 26 8.4 21 234 4.4 6.8
3 12 17 9.6 20 12 25 245 6.2 31 185 7 11
4 10 22 9.9 18 14 62 14 16 40 161 8 6.5
5 9.1 17 9.9 11 15 143 6.2 35 81 120 7.4 6.8
6 6.4 16 9.7 8 17 35 4.4 18 167 132 9.3 8
7 7.4 16 9 9 18 15 50 16 172 105 13 7.6
8 7.2 22 11 10 20 15 59 13 213 77 7 7.1
9 7.2 29 21 11 21 13 57 9.3 791 108 6.6 6.4
10 7.2 28 16 12 22 14 146 21 374 78 78 5.3
11 6.3 22 13 10 23 13 42 12 272 27 63 5.2
12 7 24 13 10 21 9.1 51 184 195 54 16 5.7
13 7.1 24 12 10 21 12 6.2 141 164 31 11 6
14 8.9 24 12 11 22 9.7 3.2 48 169 18 7.7 6.1
15 8.3 24 14 10 19 11 2.9 15 195 27 5.8 6.5
16 10 23 11 12 19 10 1.7 8.3 222 145 5.3 5.9
17 6.2 23 12 11 19 9.2 1.4 4.7 245 181 5.7 5.9
18 5 24 19 9.5 18 12 2.3 3.7 302 88 317 4.9
19 5.3 25 20 8.7 18 11 4.5 3.6 199 60 572 6
20 4.7 24 18 15 32 13 4.9 4.8 142 112 132 8
21 6.4 22 18 13 11 7 8.2 12 298 37 39 148
22 8.2 23 19 11 9.4 11 55 6.3 269 14 22 128
23 9.1 21 19 11 9.8 9.2 226 4.2 180 238 38 42
24 9.8 25 18 13 8.5 17 84 3.2 129 311 27 27
25 9.8 24 17 12 8.1 21 64 3.2 128 227 16 22
26 4.4 23 15 20 9.3 20 29 3.2 143 40 11 33
27 5.3 21 15 17 11 20 8 4.4 446 4.9 166 72
28 6 19 18 16 11 21 16 4.9 604 36 77 132
29 10 20 18 14 37 20 20 7.3 332 21 29 35
30 13 22 20 10 --- 12 99 10 384 6.6 18 64
31 20 --- 18 12 --- 10 --- 5.1 --- 4.1 26 ---

TOTAL 255.3 657 477.1 387.2 495.1 626.2 1343.9 676.8 6912.5 3240.6 1749.5 844.7
MEAN 8.2 22 15.4 12.5 17.1 20.2 44.8 21.8 230 105 56.4 28.2
AC-FT 506 1300 946 768 982 1240 2670 1340 13710 6430 3470 1680
MAX 20 29 23 20 37 143 245 184 791 358 572 148
MIN 4.4 16 9 8 8.1 7 1.4 3.2 4.5 4.1 4.3 4.9

WTR YR 2004 TOTAL 17665.9 MEAN 48.3 MAX 791 MIN 1.4 AC-FT 35040

MAX DISCH: 2290 CFS AT 20:30 ON Jun. 27, 2004 GH 3.79 FT.
