LOCATION.--Lat 38°33'26", long 105°53'22", 1500 ft below Antero Reservoir.

DRAINAGE AREA.--N/A

GAGE.--Satellite monitoring and graphic recorder on a 12 foot Parshall flume with a wooden shelter,
concrete well and staff gage. The weekly recorder has an expanded scale (One division equals 0.02
ft.) which can be read to 0.005 foot. A 15 ft. wide by-pass channel, closed by adjustable gate, is
cut into the bank about 40 ft. above the flume. The new Cipolletti outlet weir will be brought into
operation in 2004. Gage is owned and maintained by the Denver Water Dept.

REMARKS.--Primary record is hourly data taken from satellite readings with chart back up. DCP data usually
agrees with chart data to within ±0.02 foot, but chart frequently shows corrections when changed.
The record is complete and reliable except for December 23 through April 7, which are ice affected.
Chart mean daily values were used for the period April 8 through May 22, when the shaft encoder was
inoperable. The record is good, except for Dec 23-April 7 which are estimated and poor. Record
developed and satellite monitoring maintained by Michael Garner.
