<br /> <br />PLATTE RIVER BASIN <br /> <br />LEFTHAND DIVERSION AT SO. ST. VRAIN CREEK NEAR WARD, CO <br /> <br />LOCATION.--Lat 40°05'29", long 105°30'31", the gage is located ½ mile downstream from gage on S. St. Vrain <br />Creek off Highway 72. <br /> <br />PERIOD OF RECORD AND DRAINAGE AREA.--Established station on May 21, 1992 at request of Water Commissioner <br />for administration of water rights in District 5, Div. 1. The gage is located one-quarter mile <br />downstream from gage on South Saint Vrain Creek off Highway 72. This station is operated as a partial <br />year record station usually from May to October. <br /> <br />GAGE.--A-71 continuous graphic chart recorder in a 42-inch corrugated shelter and concrete well with Data <br />Collection Platform (DCP) as primary record. Primary reference is tape down from RP. <br /> <br />REMARKS.--Primary record is hourly satellite data. Daily mean chart data was used July 3-11, 2003 when the <br />shaft encoder tape was out of the wheel bead. The record is complete and reliable except for the <br />following periods: October 28, 2002 thru May 25, 2003 when station was closed for the season. The <br />Record is good during the period of record, except for October 28 and May 25, which were estimated. <br />This is a partial year record station. Diversions continue through the winter when the station is <br />closed for winter conditions.
