06695000 SOUTH PLATTE RIVER ABOVE ELEVENMILE CANYON RESERVOIR, NEAR HARTSEL, CO

LOCATION.--Lat 38°58'03", long 105°34'51", in NE¼ sec. 32, T.12 S., R.73 W., Park County, Hydrologic Unit
10190001, on left bank 200 ft downstream from highway bridge, 2.5 mi upstream from water line of
Elevenmile Canyon Reservoir, at elevation 8,561 ft. and 13 mi southeast of Hartsel.

DRAINAGE AREA AND PERIOD OF RECORD.--880 mi²; 1933 to present.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry in a wooden shelter at a 25' Parshall flume. Datum of
gage is 8,612.83 ft,(Denver Board of Water Commissioners Datum). Station is owned and maintained by
the Denver Water Dept. Satellite telemetry is maintained by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and
the USGS.

REMARKS.--Primary record is hourly data taken from satellite readings, with chart back-up. Record is
complete and reliable except for March 26-27, when both DCP and chart were inoperative. Spinney
Reservoir is 2 miles upstream. Spinney release keeps this gage open year round. Chart gage heights
were used December 12-26, 2000; January 24-26; June 24; July 8 and 18, 2001, when problems with the
shaft encoder were experienced. The record is good except for March 26-27, which were estimated.
