1

PLATTE RIVER BASIN

06694650 SOUTH FORK SOUTH PLATTE RIVER BELOW ANTERO RESERVOIR

LOCATION.--Lat 38°33'26", long 105°53'22", 1500 ft below Antero Reservoir.

DRAINAGE AREA.--N/A

GAGE.--Graphic water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry at 12' Parshall flume in a wooden shelter with
concrete well and supplemental staff gage. Gage is owned and maintained by the Denver Water Dept.

REMARKS.--Primary record is hourly data taken from satellite readings with chart back up. DCP data usually
agrees with chart data to within ±0.02 foot, but chart frequently shows corrections when changed.
The record is good. Colorado Division of Wildlife has completed the by-pass. The Cipolletti weir at
the outlet stilling basin cannot be verified for accuracy due extreme approach velocity problems.
The problems are to be remedied by the Denver Water Board early in the year 2002. Record developed
and satellite monitoring maintained by Rodger Burcher.

RATING TABLE.--STD12FTPF USED FROM 01-OCT-2000 TO 30-SEP-2001

DISCHARGE, IN CFS, WATER YEAR OCTOBER 2000 TO SEPTEMBER 2001
MEAN VALUES

DAY OCT NOV DEC JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP

1 4.8 3.2 3.3 3.4 3.6 6.8 24 16 95 75 14 13
2 4.7 3.3 3.8 3.6 3.6 6.8 21 16 126 75 12 12
3 52 3.2 3.8 3.6 3.6 6.8 20 19 165 63 25 11
4 8.3 3.3 3.8 3.4 4 6.8 17 24 165 58 36 11
5 4.8 3.2 3.8 3.3 4.2 6.8 15 66 165 48 39 9.7
6 4.6 3 3.8 3.3 5.6 6.8 17 88 145 43 39 8.7
7 3.9 3 3.8 3.3 5.4 6.5 18 106 130 42 39 8.7
8 3.8 3 3.8 3.3 5.6 6.4 18 83 132 41 44 8.7
9 3.7 3 3.8 4.1 5.4 6.4 18 70 108 39 46 8.7
10 3.6 3 3.9 5.4 5.4 6.4 18 71 107 40 48 8.7
11 3.6 3 3.9 4.7 5.4 8.1 18 58 100 40 66 8.7
12 3.6 2.9 3.8 3.7 6.2 9.3 9.3 51 94 40 73 8.7
13 3.4 2.7 3.8 3.8 7.9 9.3 3.9 52 88 39 49 8.7
14 3.1 2.9 3.8 3.7 8.5 9.2 5.3 54 86 37 21 8.7
15 2.8 3 3.9 3.6 8.3 9.1 8.7 40 86 38 12 8.7
16 2.6 3 4 3.6 8.3 9.6 8.7 59 87 34 11 8.7
17 2.5 3 3.8 3.6 8.4 11 8.9 73 88 31 11 8.7
18 2.5 3 4 3.4 8.4 14 6.5 99 89 28 14 8.7
19 2.7 2.9 4.2 3.3 8.4 14 3.4 137 81 25 15 8.7
20 2.9 3.1 4.4 3.3 8.5 13 6.5 164 62 19 16 8.7
21 3 3 3.9 3.3 8.6 14 29 163 56 17 16 8.7
22 3 3 3.7 3.3 8.6 15 41 151 64 17 16 8.7
23 3.2 3 4.1 3.3 8.4 15 41 134 68 17 17 8.7
24 3.3 3 4.5 3.2 8.3 23 41 102 64 18 17 14
25 108 3 4.5 3.6 7.7 28 41 92 61 18 15 9.5
26 11 2.8 4.2 3.5 6.8 28 26 84 60 18 13 9.5
27 4.1 2.8 4.3 3.5 6.8 28 19 78 61 18 13 9.5
28 3.5 2.9 4.5 3.4 6.8 27 17 79 63 18 13 9.5
29 3.3 3 4.1 3.4 --- 27 16 77 72 18 13 8.2
30 3.3 2.7 3.4 3.3 --- 27 16 77 76 18 13 7.9
31 3.3 --- 3.4 3.4 --- 27 --- 88 --- 18 13 ---

TOTAL 272.9 89.9 121.8 110.6 186.7 432.1 552.2 2471 2844 1050 789 281.4
MEAN 8.8 3 3.9 3.6 6.7 13.9 18.4 80 95 34 26 9.4
AC-FT 541 178 242 219 370 857 1100 4900 5640 2080 1560 558
MAX 108 3.3 4.5 5.4 8.6 28 41 164 165 75 73 14
MIN 2.5 2.7 3.3 3.2 3.6 6.4 3.4 16 56 17 11 7.9

CAL YR 2000 TOTAL 0 MEAN 0 MAX 0 MIN 0 AC-FT 0
WTR YR 2001 TOTAL 9201.6 MEAN 25.2 MAX 165 MIN 2.5 AC-FT 18250

MAX DISCH: 349 CFS AT 16:00 ON Oct. 25, 2000 GH 3.49 FT.
