LOCATION.--Lat 39°27'26", long 105°39'29" in NW¼ sec. 10, T.7 S., R.74 W., Park County, Hydrologic Unit
10190002, on left bank at Grant, 1,550 ft downstream from Geneva Creek, and 1.3 mi downstream from
east portal of Harold D. Roberts tunnel.

DRAINAGE AREA AND PERIOD OF RECORD.--127 mi²; 1948 to present.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry in a wooden shelter at a concrete control section.
Station is owned and maintained by the Denver Water Dept. Satellite telemetry is maintained by the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the USGS.

REMARKS.--The primary record is hourly data taken from satellite monitoring with chart back up. It is
complete. The shaft encoder was accurate to ± 0.01 ft. The record is complete and reliable,
except for November 9-12, 2000 when Roberts Tunnel was off and the stage-discharge relationship was
affected by ice accumulating on the control. Rapid changes in stage are caused by the regulation of
Roberts Tunnel, ½ mile upstream. When Roberts tunnel is operating, the gage is free from ice. The
record is good, except for the ice days of November 9-12, 2000 which are estimated. Record
