31
PLATTE RIVER BASIN

06720000 CLEAR CREEK AT DERBY, CO

LOCATION.--Lat 39°49'42", long 104°57'30", in SW¼SW¼ sec. 36, T.2 S., R.68 W., Adams County, Hydrologic Unit
10190004, on right bank 875 ft downstream from York Street bridge, 0.5 mi upstream from mouth, and 2.5 mi
west of Derby.

DRAINAGE AREA AND PERIOD OF RECORD.--575 mi²; 1927 to present.

GAGE.--Graphic water-stage recorder with satellite monitoring DCP with digital shaft encoder and Telemark in a
60 inch corrugated metal shelter and well. Station at this datum since June 26, 1992. Primary reference
is by electric drop tape.

REMARKS.--The primary record is hourly satellite data and mean daily gage heights from the chart. Daily maximum
and minimum stages for the satellite record checked to within ± 0.02 with the chart. Where DCP data was
missing, data was entered hourly from the chart. The chart recorder clock stopped a several times during
the season, but the satellite data was complete so no data was lost during these times. Ice is presumed
to have been present December 24-25, 2004 and January 6-9, 2005. The record is good, except for the
following days estimated for ice-affect: January 6-7, 2005 are considered poor; and December 24-25, 2004
and January 8-9, 2005 are considered fair. Station maintained and record developed by Steve Barrett.

RATING TABLE.--CLEDERCO34 USED FROM 01-OCT-2004 TO 30-SEP-2005

DISCHARGE, IN CFS, WATER YEAR OCTOBER 2004 TO SEPTEMBER 2005
MEAN VALUES

DAY OCT NOV DEC JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP

1 65 104 31 61 35 20 11 72 213 339 10 4.5
2 34 66 28 52 29 24 9.7 64 357 366 6.9 4.6
3 24 34 28 33 29 25 6.6 74 447 400 76 4.4
4 25 33 33 27 27 26 6.9 45 724 354 431 4.7
5 28 33 29 27 25 26 9 35 499 263 113 3.5
6 240 32 30 25 24 25 21 29 433 231 31 8.4
7 87 30 27 27 27 26 11 43 392 215 9.1 4.9
8 38 31 27 28 29 27 14 52 383 216 8.7 4.4
9 35 34 28 27 25 27 17 43 397 234 9.2 4.3
10 28 58 29 25 25 28 98 34 668 235 12 5.6
11 22 52 29 25 28 27 206 139 509 209 26 5
12 23 35 27 34 29 25 101 136 527 161 20 4.2
13 148 34 27 26 25 56 73 102 414 137 10 4.5
14 52 32 27 26 23 27 46 166 327 122 17 17
15 31 36 28 24 28 25 38 119 300 99 11 17
16 39 32 30 27 27 25 21 50 325 91 7 12
17 33 29 28 26 24 23 15 57 396 66 7 7.2
18 31 29 27 25 24 20 17 67 460 69 6.4 4.3
19 30 29 26 25 28 20 22 37 503 60 6.5 3.9
20 30 40 27 25 23 18 87 112 618 48 18 3.9
21 28 35 27 24 21 25 73 273 639 37 29 4.2
22 24 31 28 23 21 8.2 26 409 643 30 18 4.7
23 22 30 27 23 21 15 15 517 655 22 7.9 5.3
24 21 29 28 26 21 29 46 536 645 34 6.4 5
25 22 27 30 25 20 21 212 523 692 80 5.1 4.3
26 21 24 37 25 21 12 88 524 617 159 5 4.3
27 21 23 37 25 19 14 60 477 543 64 5.3 4.7
28 19 27 40 29 18 13 110 414 474 8.7 4.5 46
29 21 31 33 24 --- 13 72 394 447 7 4.2 102
30 27 36 52 41 --- 13 71 506 375 15 4.4 57
31 30 --- 63 61 --- 19 --- 347 --- 11 4.4 ---

TOTAL 1299 1096 968 921 696 702.2 1603.2 6396 14622 4382.7 930 365.8
MEAN 42 37 31 30 25 22.7 53.4 206 487 141 30 12.2
AC-FT 2580 2170 1920 1830 1380 1390 3180 12690 29000 8690 1840 726
MAX 240 104 63 61 35 56 212 536 724 400 431 102
MIN 19 23 26 23 18 8.2 6.6 29 213 7 4.2 3.5

WTR YR 2005 TOTAL 33981.9 MEAN 93.1 MAX 724 MIN 3.5 AC-FT 67400

MAX DISCH: 1280 CFS AT 13:30 ON Jun. 4, 2005 GH 3.12 FT.
