06699005 TARRYALL CREEK AT BORDEN DITCH NEAR JEFFERSON, CO

LOCATION.--Lat. 39°17’13”, Long. 105°41’43”, in the NW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Sec. 8, T. 9 S., R. 74 W., Park County,
Hydrologic unit 10190001, on left bank 1800 ft. downstream from Rock Creek, 9 mi. southeast of Jefferson
and 1.0 mi. northwest of Bordenville.

DRAINAGE AREA AND PERIOD OF RECORD.--230 mi². Apr. 26, 1983 (no previous gage at this site). Operation
discontinued by USGS 9-30-97. Taken over by Colorado Division of Water Resources.

GAGE.--Shaft encoder and satellite monitoring DCP in a in a metal shelter on an 18-inch metal well. Well is
connected to stream by one 2-in. intake. Altitude of gage is 9020 ft, from USGS topographic map.
Station is maintained by the City of Aurora.

REMARKS.--Record is taken from hourly satellite readings and is complete and reliable for April 20, 2005 to
September 30, 2005 when the gage was operational. The record for WY2005 is a partial year record. During
the period from August 24, 2005 to September 2, 2005, data is complete but should be considered
unreliable because the shaft encoder float was silted in. A shaft encoder correction of –0.09 was made on
May 10, 2005, and applied back to 12:30 on April 20, 2005, when it was noted that the encoder made a
sudden increase of +0.09. The record is good for the entire period of operation, except for August 24, 2005
– September 2, 2005 and April 19, 2005, which is estimated and fair. Station operated and record developed
