Ms. <br /> Pollie noted that a correction should be made regarding case nos. 08GW78 and <br /> 09GW15. In these cases, a variance should only be requested in front of the <br /> Commission at a Commission meeting, rather than the Hearing Officer. This has been <br /> brought up before the Applicant's Council, and a variance request is expected to <br /> come before the Commission at the next meeting. <br /> Ms. Jen Mete then asked Ms. Pollie how the variance request would relate to the <br /> timing of a hearing in front of the Hearing Officer for the case applications. <br /> Ms. Pollie responded that the variance request would need to be addressed before any <br /> other progress could be made in the cases. Ms. Pollie also noted that she does not <br /> believe the hearing for the cases has been scheduled since the Applicant's wanted to <br /> address the variance request first. <br /> Commissioner Pautler thanked Ms. Pollie for her report. <br /> Commissioner Pautler called for agenda item no. 8, Management District Reports <br /> Mr. Nate Midcap, reporting for the Marks Butte, Frenchman, Sandhills and Central <br /> Yuma GWMD's, joined the meeting late and no report was provided. <br /> Mr. Sprouse, reporting for the W-Y GWMD, was not in attendance and no report was <br /> provided. <br /> Mr. Sprouse, reporting for the Arikaree GWMD, was not in attendance and no report <br /> was provided. <br /> Commissioner Pautler, in place of Mr. Jeff Mangus, reporting for the Plains GWMD, <br /> reported that the District is in the process of finalizing the new District rules. A water <br /> conservation plan is also in-work at the District. The District Board is discussing the <br /> plan details before reaching out to the public. <br /> Ms. Carolyn Talbert, reporting for the East Cheyenne GWMD, was not in attendance <br /> and no report was provided. <br /> Commissioner Hume, reporting for the Southern High Plains GWMD, reported that <br /> the Spring has been wet but the Summer has been dry. The Spring rains did save <br /> roughly a month of ground water pumping for irrigation. Wilson Water Group is <br /> working on the groundwater study for the basin, and is currently looking for the Phase <br /> I portion of the previous study that was done in 1993. <br /> Mr. Vargas-Johnson responded that Kevin Donegan with DWR is working with Wilson <br /> Water Group on finding as much documentation as possible for the Phase I portion of <br /> the previous study, and DWR has provided everything that is available. <br />
