SOUTH PLATTE RIVER NEAR KERSEY
Administrative/Management Concerns:
The Cheesman Reservoir call (06-27-1889) was in 5
0
effect for the entire month. The Denver Intake call (12-06-
1910) was in effect in the reach below Cheesman. The lower '°
river was controlled by the District 1 Recharge call (12-31-
1972) through October 11. The interstate compact (South if
Platte) with Nebraska adjusted on October 15 annually,
basically giving Colorado full use of the available stream flow.
Up to that date, flows at the Stateline (Julesburg index ,D
station) were required to be 120 cfs.
'Mu HMO DCT0men AVIp o= wrong,1♦Y,
Public Use Impacts:
Flow in the South Platte below Cheesman Reservoir
was reduces to 44 cfs in the early portion of October.
Releases were increased up to approximately 260 cfs during
the third week of the month, and were again reduced by the
end of October.
