Storage in Green s surface+`-c Svvly InOsx NI.LGry
Mountain, Ruedi, and Williams Fork reservoirs totaled 115% of 4
normal on September 30. Flow at the gaging station, Colorado 7.'_ JW3River near Dotsero, averaged 1,338 cfs as compared to the 1961- x ` • = =
1991 September average of 1,421 cfs. This call is usually placed in July or early August.
On September 17,due to the precipitation and increased flows, the
power plant call was reduced to the junior right of 158 cfs (5-15- COLORADO RIVER NR. DOTSERO
FLOW BY WATER YEAR
1929). Most water rights, transmountain diversions, storage 3.2
rights, etc. that were junior to the power plant were curtailed. 2.9
Releases from Green Mountain Reservoir were make to satisfy the 2.6
call. Very little water has been released from Green Mountain , z.4
reservoir this year and it remains almost full, as do most of the e^ 2
other reservoirs in the basin. The Cameo call above Grand ;o c
Junction will likely remain off this year. 1 1.4
1 1.2 _
Public Use Impacts I 09 Z"----'---------7
The full reservoirs and strong river flows have provided 0.6 J,-----r r
0.4
excellent recreational opportunities this summer, and good supplies 0.2 .
of irrigation water for farmers and ranchers.
