For partial fields containing deep- rooted <br />crops such as alfalfa or pasture grass a deep tilled separation of at least 25 feet must be <br />maintained along with any ditches necessary to ensure no irrigation application to the dry -up <br />portion. For any dry -up parcel that is planted with a dryland crop (haygrazer, milo, millet, etc.), <br />the crop should either be drilled at an angle to normal irrigation direction or a tilled strip <br />maintained at the top of the field that clearly separates the crop from any possible irrigation <br />source (preferably both). <br />
